This amazing list of survival medical supplies was found over at Doom and Bloom. We have to give credit where credit is due. It is the largest and most comprehensive list of medical supplies you would require for almost any survival situation. It's likely that if you had all these items in your stockpile, you'd be the new Dr. Quin Medicine Lady when SHTF.

Liste of Survival and Collapse Medical Supplies (Natural Remedies).
Here is my list of Survival and Collapse medical equipment with natural remedies. Natural remedies are included for the first use and back up, to help you save money on items that can't be made in an extreme environment. Myself and Dr. Bones spend a lot time researching backup plans for traditional medicine. You will need to be able to offer medical assistance in a crisis situation. To do this, you'll need to be familiar with conventional medical supplies as well as knowledge about natural remedies that may be useful. Here is a list of important things to consider:
** Keep in mind that the more options you have, the more likely it is that something will work! **
- Oral antibiotics (or fish meds in an emergency)
- Antibiotic ointment, and/or antibacterial herb salves
- Ace bandages- multiple sizes
- Kerlix or rolled gauze
- Minor lacerations can be closed with steri strips or butterfly bandages
- You will need tons of gauze/dressings, both sterile and nonsterile 4x4s. Make sure to include lots of non-adherent “telfa” pads so that healing wounds don't stick.
- ABD pads (5×9) also known as combine dressings
- Tapes include adhesive, DUCT and paper (for adhesive tape allergies).
- Bandage shears/trauma shears of high quality (ALL METAL, the plastic handles ones cut jean material!
- Flexible splinting material (sam) – Everything from finger
- You can also cut to size splints up to 36-inch rolls
- Moleskin with padding – for blisters
- Scalpels (#10, #11, #15 most popular)
- CPR masks
- Paracord – Multiple uses
- Hypoallergenic nitrile gloves
- Antibacterial soap
- Syringes – For wound irrigation and cleaning
- Hibiclens Antiseptics are a wide range of solutions.
- Universal cervical collar
- OPAs (Oral Airways), prevents the occlusion or obstruction of an airway from an allergic reaction while you wait for the Benadryl or epi-pen to kick in
- To clean instruments/hands with alcohol pads
- N-95s Masks (for people who are healthy to prevent them getting sick!)
- Super glue, Dermabond (Rx), or Dermabond (Rx), may cause skin torsion.
- Sutures – 2-0 nylon (never use 3-0 or smaller unless you are dealing with sensitive skin such as the eyelids and skin of the face).
- If you or someone you know how to use them properly, skin stapler/remover (or 2 adson forceps)
- Kelly clamps in both straight and curved versions (to remove foreign objects from injuries)
- Many large safety pins
- Magnifying glass
- Light source: Penlight, flashlight, glow stick, headlamp, penlight
- A type of fire starter to light a fire for boiling water or sterilizing tools. Make sure to include a container that can boil water in your supplies.
- Mylar blankets
- Wool blankets
- Thermometer
- Inhalants containing ammonia
- Cotton sheets – Can be cut into strips or used for carrying patients
- Clotting powders like Quikclot, Celox – (cayenne pepper powder may help minor bleeding)
- Use a tourniquet such as the CAT only in cases of severe bleeding. It should not be used in conjunction with clotting agents or pressure.
- Snake bite kit – must be used within two seconds of being bitten or it will become useless
- GEL packs that can be reused – can be heated or cooled.
- Aquatabs – To purify water
- Powdered foot for athletes (lasts longer that creams).
- Monistat cream or an equivalent – to treat vaginal yeast infections
Survival Dental Care
- Dental mirror
- Dental extractors/elevator
- Dental filling material (commercial or mixed zinc oxide powder with 2 drops of clove oil)
- Baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and 2 drops peppermint oil make great toothpaste and gum treatments
- Hydrogen peroxide is a great mouthwash/gargle to reduce gum swelling and irritations. After the initial wound cleansing, do not apply to open wounds. HP can damage the healing cells of open wounds.
- Additional essential clove bud oil (numbs your dental pain when used directly)
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Dental Floss

- Eye cup
- Eyewash
- Eye pads /eye patch
- Claritin (non-drowsy antihistamine)- hay fever/allergies
- Benadryl (drowsy antihistamine), – Allergic reactions to stings and medication.
- If necessary for anaphylactic reactions, Epi-pen (Rx) may be used
- Tylenol and Ibuprofen (not for children)
- Imodium – to treat diarrhea
- Hydro-cortisone cream is anti-inflammatory and good for rashes
- Vaseline/Petroleum jelly has a million uses It's great for making non-stick dressings.
- Aloe vera – for burns
- Gatorade and rehydration tablets/powders – to hydrate (to tx dehydration).
- Multivitamins, additional vitamin C (tablets or powder), zinc, as well as other supplements, can be used to boost the immune system.
